Chapter 52: 54 - Sculpture Class
"Amrita, have you brought your colors?" Walking beside a young woman, a man with pink hair and eyes inquired as he checked the bag in his hand, trying to search for the available colors. Though it was 10:05 right now and classes should have started, they suddenly received word that the classes would be conducted in another place.
"No, not today. This class is all about clay sculptures, remember?" Hearing Lin's words, Amrita lifted her gaze as she placed her bag, whose strap was passing over her shoulder, aside and smiled, informing him.
"Oh, right! I always forget which class we're doing what in," Lin chuckled, rubbing his finger on his nose as he tried to appear as proud as he could, while his eyes secretly glanced towards Amrita.
"No problem." Amrita, knowing about his regular habit, just gently smiled as they all made their way towards the corridor, filled with other students from their class, moving towards the garden area where their sculpture class was going to start.
Normally it was held in the sculpture class, but today, due to the weather being good enough, they decided to hold it outside—at least this was what the faculty told them as they shifted the class to the outdoor area.
As both of them moved in front, four women followed behind, maintaining a steady distance. One of them said, "Tch, Aria, isn't she trying to stick too close to Lin?"
"Yes, and Lin, it's already confusing why he acts like some naive idiot around me." Another one chimed in, feeling frustrated seeing that once Lin was a friend of theirs, but he was now acting completely cold towards them while laughing with another girl.
Of course, not all of them had romantic feelings towards him, but still, even being friends with him, they had never seen him act this way since they were old classmates. He was now acting all shyly for a transfer student.
Everything had just changed within one month. Lin, whom Aria loved, had started to develop feelings for Amrita, slowly distancing himself from his previous friends.
"Don't tell me, has she put some magic on him?" the third one couldn't control herself as she spoke, clenching her fist as she thought about dealing with that poor girl who had disrupted their friendship.
Mostly because all four of them were good friends, including another young man who had transferred to another academy after being beaten by Lin, who had hit his own friend at that time just because that friend had called Amrita's brother a scammer.
So, they hated Amrita not because she was poor, but because the moment she arrived in their lives, everything changed.
"Be quiet, all of you. It's not her fault," Aria said, looking forward and not glancing towards Lin or Amrita. She knew very well that this wasn't the fault of either of them. Considering how this was as if destiny was making them come closer to each other without her having to do anything.
She was just a villainess whose actions were destined to be misinterpreted, so she decided not to care about it anymore. After how Lin acted today, she thought it best to remain quiet for a few days and give Lin time to forget today's events.
"Huh? Who is that?" Suddenly coming out of the exit of the corridor, a student looked towards the garden area where a bunch of clays were placed in front of several mats on the ground.
Even in that sight, with a background filled with flowers and greenery of the garden, a man sitting on a chair while holding a book seemed to attract their gazes, considering that they had not seen him before and additionally he appeared worth looking at.
'Is he a new professor?' Amrita, accompanied by Lin while moving, noticed the subtle hint of silver hair from behind of a man seated on the chair while his head was lowered towards reading a book. She did not recognize the identity of the man as she had seen him for the first time but guessed that he was most likely a professor from his attire and the way he was seated at the professor's seat.
"He seems to be the new professor mentioned by the director's assistant," Lin chimed in, collecting a small scale in her hand that she had placed on his shoulder, before jumping off the platform in the corridor and entering the garden area. Landing on the green grass, she made her way directly towards the professor and his sitting arrangements, passing by a man who was immersed in reading his book.
"Ah, a professor, I see," Amrita hearing Lin's words nodded before she also moved, following all the other students who were glancing towards the professor as they couldn't help but murmur once they took their seats.
"Hey, isn't he too handsome to be a professor?" As the students arranged themselves on their mats, one young woman couldn't help but notice the man sitting in front of them—his silver hair glimmered in the morning rays, a striking contrast to the dark coat he wore. His face was smooth and sharp, yet softened by the way his sapphire blue eyes were engrossed in the book he held.
Each page he turned seemed intentional, as if he was savoring every word. The calmness in his stare and the subtle strength of his concentration made him all the more intriguing.
His sharp jawline, coupled with the soft glow of the rising sun hitting his face, highlighted his handsome features in an almost cinematic scene. His long lashes barely moved as he read, giving his face a calm look, but there was something about the firmness in his posture that exuded quiet authority.
Though immersed in his reading, there was a sense of untouchable elegance in the way he sat, making it impossible for the students to look away from the scene before them or even to greet him or at least say good morning to their professor.
"Aria, what happened to you?" As all the individuals kept moving in the garden while passing beside that man seated on the chair before taking their seats, only four women remained halted just 10 steps away from the man seated on the chair.
Because the corridor was not distinct from the garden, it came to a standstill with the garden positioned in the center. Aria and three of her friends stood on the platform of the corridor while other students had already found their seats by walking into the garden.
'Huh?' Aria, while her friends were calling her, stood still, looking above the head of that silver-haired figure. Her eyes widened at the sight, her pupils trembling rapidly. It was as if her whole body had gone cold, leaving her mind blank as her gaze remained fixated in front of her.
'How is this possible?' Everything had just paused in that moment. The world seemed unmoving. Everything was halted except the heartbeat sound of Aria, accompanied by a soft breeze that fluttered the silver hair of that man, still not enough to make Aria blink as her trembling pupils revealed a reflection of a screen above man's head, reading.
