Chapter 426 The Zombie Wave ( 9 )
To ensure Statham's safe escape from the group of Draconic Survivors, he actually decided to leave a few thralls to ensure that no one would follow his path. After all, he had no idea about the skills of these people, so it was better to be safe.
With the appearance of the Zombie Horde, Statham's escape became smooth as the ones thinking of tracking him shifted their focus…
There were also 14 Thralls who were blocking the path that Statham used to escape.
"Kill the remaining vampires before the next horde arrives." Travis ordered.
The nine elite Survivors acknowledged their mission and immediately made their move.
The Thralls then felt the pressure coming from their group as they instinctively recoiled at the Drakeheart Vanguard's immense pressure.
The few remaining people within the Thunder Tribe had their hopes rekindled after seeing this. They watched the newly arrived group tear into the remaining Vampire with ease…
Travis didn't even have to issue any more commands as he watched his subordinates decimate the Thralls.
The Thralls were soon covered with emerald flames that slowly consumed them and everything in its path…
The flames spread quickly, incinerating their bodies without being able to fight back at all.
Needless to say, this was another Skill they had obtained after being able to receive Travis' pure Dragon Blood.
After all, there was no way normal fire could achieve this result against the minions of a powerful Vampire Lord...
It didn't take that long before all of these creatures were burned to ashes.
"Tsk… They're not giving experience points? Isn't that a bit too unfair?"
"That's true… They should've dropped something at the very least."
"Well, maybe because we killed them through a Dragon's Fire… Their existence was basically erased with this much power. Maybe killing them through other method might work."
"We'll have to test that… We'll just follow the Vampire's traces."
"That's the reason our group was built anyway."
Travis' subordinates could only express their disappointment after getting no rewards. They've actually been searching for that Vampire ever since they heard rumors about this creature.
There were two reasons for that. One of the reason was because a member of their Clan would benefit a lot if they were able to obtain the Vampire's Blood Essence. It was related to the talent they had.
The other reason was due to Clan Leader Travis' trusted informant, who had told him that finding the Vampire's secrets could lead to the end of this Zombie Outbreak and win against the Apocalypse.

In the meantime, a small bat had been watching how Travis' team destroyed the Thralls he had left. These creations may not be that strong, but seeing how helpless they were against the fire, Statham knew that he had made the right decision.
His eyes narrowed as he took in the sight of the Drakeheart Vanguard. He wanted to remember all of their faces since once he obtained the power he needed, it wouldn't be too late for his revenge.
He had heard rumors of the dragon-blooded warriors and knew that crossing swords with this group was no small matter.
Still, his pride flared at the audacity of these humans…
They would soon be facing the next horde of zombies and it seemed to be huge. This Zombie Horde didn't factor in the fact that the Thunder Tribe Clan had already lost their leaders and could no longer survive against this horde.
Statham thought for a moment before he decided to use the remaining Blood Essence he collected to cause trouble.
In the end, he decided to use his Bat Scout to send a message…
Statham used another Vampiric Spell and soon ordered the bat to charge forward to the leader of the group…
Screech~
Travis noticed the presence of the weird bat flying toward him and felt something off.
Of course, he immediately connected the bat to the Vampire, so he was alert.
Realizing that his trick was sensed by Travis, Statham cut off his connection to the bat…
As soon as he did this, the bat expanded in size and everyone else who had noticed this immediately dove and found a cover!
Just as they hid behind anything they found, an explosion followed!
Boom!
The explosion was incredibly powerful, but thankfully, they had enough time to prepare!
Travis hissed in pain, clutching his side as smoke rose from the wound, burned by the strange explosion of blood… He glared at the distance where Statham disappeared and cursed.
"Next time, Vampire… I'll be hunting you soon…" Travis said with a sneer on his face.
During this time, his wounds could also be seen recovering at an incredible rate.
It was all thanks to his Dragon Blood!
As everything calmed down, Travis dismounted from his horse and looked at the remaining survivors. "We got Raidon's signal to call for help, but we're still too late. Since Raidon is my friend, I will all be accepting you to our shelter if you want."
He paused for a moment to look at their reaction before he added.
"We'll stand with you until this battle is truly over."
With this action, the population of his Clan had increased once again.

In the meantime, after several more hours of defending against the Zombie Hordes, the Silver Mine Camp under Shane's control was finally reaching its limit...
Shane surveyed the damage with a heavy heart…
The walls were reduced to rubble, one lone turret barely operational, and the once-reliable Grinder now a smoldering hulk from overuse.
His subordinates were battered and bruised as they had fought tirelessly, and though they had managed to beat back the fourteenth horde, they were now on the brink of exhaustion.
'Just one more horde…' Shane muttered to himself.
Actually, he was feeling great since he had leveled up a few more times thanks to his summons in the Springriver Manor that was giving him a part of their Experience Points.
He was strong and he knew that very well. However, his companions were too behind him interms of strength.
'It's my fault why this wave is too strong… The horde is just responding to my strength.' Shane thought as this was quite similar to the problems he faces in the other Apocalypses.
Anyway, he knew they couldn't rest yet—the final wave was coming at them…
Clutching a few remaining Spirit Stones, Shane passed them around to his most fatigued companions. The stones' restorative energies filled them with Spiritual Force, mending their exhausted nerves and relieving them from their fatigues…
After a few minutes, when they believed that the horde was about to come, Shane's Heightened Awareness allowed him to sense the approach of the enemies before any of his sentries could.
'They're here… But why are they so few?' Shane mused, confused by the last wave's sudden decrease in their number.
He was expecting that this last wave would be thousands of Zombies with the strongest high-tier Zombies. However, it wasn't like that at all.
There were only three figures moving at the edge of his perception, closing in with a slow gait…Nôv(el)B\\jnn
'What's going on?' Shane thought as he asked Cloud.
However, Cloud had detected the same thing. There were only three Zombies, and there wasn't anyone hiding in the ground or using stealth.
'Weird…'
There was no horde, and there was no shambling mob behind them. Just three solitary beings…
His A.I. assistant quickly assessed them, running through all known zombie types in the database, but came up with nothing.
[ Unknown Zombies detected. ]
Cloud finally concluded after confirming a few times…
These three were an unknown breed, never seen before in any wave, and that uncertainty weighed heavily on him.
However, this also excited him…,
'New zombies, huh… I hope I can get the first kill reward from them.' Shane thought as it had been a while since he got the First Kill reward.
As these creatures got closer, Shane finally saw their appearance.
'So they're all the same type of Zombie…' Shane mused as he looked at their similar appearance.
The three of them were terribly fat. But the most disturbing feature was their stomachs—each belly bore a huge, fanged mouth with a long tongue that flicked in and out like some horrific extension of themselves. Read the latest on empire
"They're definitely not ordinary zombies," Shane muttered, gripping his sword tighter as he scanned his skillset.
He reviewed his set of skills as he considered how to face them... His Survivor Skills and Fused Skills would all have to work in unison for this fight.
He needed agility and strength, a balance of offense and defense if they were to stand a chance against this terrifying trio.
Drawing a deep breath, he activated the Aura of Protection, extending a thin shield around himself and the closest fighters. Then, signaling his elves and other Legendary warriors to take defensive positions, he prepared to attack.
"Stay sharp, everyone. This last horde isn't normal..." Shane warned before he consumed his Mistcloak Potion...
Then, as soon as he felt the effects of the potion, he initiated the Phantasm Rush to close the distance from the Zombies!
What do you think?
