Chapter 22 - Let's Go To Town! (2)
The city was always bustling with activity.
Allen often came here to buy daily necessities and ingredients once every five days. He also browsed the magic tool shop and the bookstore.
When Allen was by himself, he only had errands to run in those few places.
So... he had never thought he would ever set foot in a store like this.
"Look, look! Charlotte, this one suits you too!"
"Eh. Ah..."
Erika handed out clothes to a bewildered Charlotte, one after another.
Allen was staring at them from a few meters away, while feeling like he wanted to vanish into thin air.
This is so awkward. Allen thought.
He took a look around the store and realized he was the only male customer there.
The rest were all cheerful and energetic young women.
The interior of the shop was fancy. Its wide space was filled with a variety of women's clothing. There were also shoes and accessories displayed on the shelves.
It seemed that... this store was one of the most popular boutiques in town.
A brilliant and dazzling atmosphere filled the entire store.
For Allen, who always preferred to stay in the shadows, this kind of world was a completely foreign place.
"Welcome. Do you need any assistance?"
"Oh, no. That's not necessary."
Allen even found it overbearing when the young female shop assistant approached him with a smile.
But he couldn't run out of the store -- he was in a match with Erika.
Which mischief would Charlotte like best? Both Allen and Erika were giving their all in such a vague and ambiguous contest.
Thinking back, it was similar to when I was a kid... Allen reminisced.
Allen was nine when he was taken in by the Crawford family. Erika was only five years old. But Erika was not intimidated by their age difference, following her brother around and challenging him to all sorts of games.
Be it a race, or a game of chess, even magic and so forth.
Naturally, Allen won hands down every time, but Erika was undeterred and continued to challenge him day after day.
Perhaps that was her own effort to get to know Allen.
"Come on, brother!"
"Hm?"
When I looked up, Erika was looking right at me.
"Don't dawdle. Here, here. What do you think of Charlotte's transformation?"
"H-heyy..."
Before I knew it, Charlotte was dressed.
She wore a frilly white blouse and a puffy floral skirt with a thin scarf wrapped around her neck. It was a refreshing sight.
Compared to the dress she wore when we first met, both the fabric and design were very popular and this neat and tidy appearance suited her much better. However... there was one big problem.
"Isn't it... too short... ?"
"What? This is normal and cute."
Erika said in a calm manner, but the skirt Charlotte had on was extremely short.
Her white thighs were exposed, and he could not help but be glued to them. They were healthy and plump, probably because Allen had been feeding her moderately with food and snacks recently. They were smooth.
Unable to come up with any further thoughts, Allen froze.
But Erika was on a roll. She jumped on Charlotte and pressed her cheek against Charlotte's affectionately.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"You look super cute! It is a great style, and my judgment was right about her! It looks really good!"
"But it's embarrassing... "
Charlotte fidgeted with the edge of her skirt.
Her eyebrows were scrunched up and she was red up to her ears. She had probably never worn such a short skirt before. Her thighs that were rubbed together were also slightly dyed in pink.
"Gosh. Urgh."
"Allen!"
With a muffled voice, Allen collapsed on the spot.
Charlotte came running up to me, looking worried.
"Are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?"
"... I'm fine."
Facing her pale face, Allen laughed.
"I needed to calm my heart so I just stopped it for a moment."
"Is this something you should easily stop?!"
