Chapter 49
C49 – They Had to Bear the Consequences!
“Was it him who swiped all your Spiritual Cards back in the Iron Woods?” Ji Yin inquired.
“Exactly! That punk is the one who did it. Uncle, you’ve got to take my side here!” Ji Buyu pleaded, his face etched with injustice.
“Well, what action would you like me to take?” Ji Yin pondered briefly before consenting.
“Just use the pretense of brawling to kick this kid out of Sacred Heart Academy. Then we’ll see if he’s still bold enough to cross me!” Ji Buyu said with a cold laugh.
“No issue there. He’s nothing but a powerless orphan with a crippled Battle Spirit. I doubt there’s anyone who would stand up for him,” Ji Yin affirmed with a grave tone.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
“Bang!”
A sudden, resounding noise erupted from the hallway, reverberating through the air.
“Haha… That must be my roommates giving that kid a thrashing. They didn’t hold back, did they?” Ji Buyu’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
He hurried to the door of dorm 121 and was met with a sight that defied belief.
One of his roommates was embedded in a metal locker, obviously knocked out cold.
The other was ensnared by the familiar Serpent Spirit, shivering within the menacing spiky enclosure.
Meanwhile, Qin Hongyu stood there unscathed, his body crackling with electricity that danced around him in bursts of energy.
“What… What’s happening here?” Ji Buyu was dumbfounded, his gaze fixed on the unfolding chaos with bewilderment.
Wasn’t Qin Hongyu supposed to be the one on the ground, pleading for mercy?
Why was the reality so starkly different from his expectations?
His roommates were the cream of Class A, each wielding a senior class Battle Spirit!
And yet, they were being pummeled by some Class D nobody, appearing utterly defenseless.
“It’s him, it’s him!”
The man trapped in the thorny cage caught sight of Ji Buyu standing at the threshold, dazed, and bellowed as if spotting his nemesis.
It was then that Qin Hongyu swiftly turned, locking eyes with Ji Buyu, who looked utterly lost at the doorway. With a fierce shout, he declared, “Perfect! I was just on the lookout for you! And here you are, delivering yourself right to my doorstep!”
“Little White Tower, seize him!”
In an instant, “Little White Tower” transformed into a streak of lightning, swiftly encircling Ji Buyu who was caught off guard, and unleashed a barrage of sharp spikes from its form.
Ji Yin, who had been strolling along leisurely, caught sight of the lightning flash and realized Ji Buyu was ensnared. He quickened his pace and arrived at the entrance of Dormitory 121.
Upon witnessing the scene inside Dormitory 121, Ji Yin was dumbfounded for quite some time, only snapping out of it when he heard Ji Buyu’s agonized screams.
“You’ve got some nerve, attacking someone right before my eyes! Release him at once!” Ji Yin demanded, seething with anger.
“And what if I refuse?” Qin Hongyu fixed his gaze on Ji Buyu, his voice icy and unyielding.
He was never one to seek out trouble, but he was certainly not one to shy away from it either!
Ji Buyu had crossed a line this time, and not even the highest authority could sway Qin Hongyu now!
“I am commanding you as the school’s director to release him immediately, or you’ll be responsible for the consequences!” Ji Yin, surprised that his authority was being challenged for the first time, spoke with increased volume.
“Hmph! Do you think I’m easily frightened?” Qin Hongyu not only refused to release Ji Buyu but also clamped his hands together with a forceful gesture.
