Naruto: Konoha’s Kanpu

Chapter 951: I'm Going to Ryuchi Cave to Settle The Score!

After staying together with Mei for a few days, Kanpū found himself slipping into a state of decadence. All he did was eat and sleep, sleep and eat, completely neglecting his responsibilities.

'This couldn't continue!'

He constantly reminded himself to stop this laziness, to maintain a routine of early to bed, early to rise, keep fit by running, develop in all aspects of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, and to get back to work, becoming a productive member of society!

So, one day, Kanpū got up early from the gentle embrace of comfort, but after thinking for a bit, he decided to lie in bed a little longer.

Unfortunately, before he could rest, an annoying voice called out from afar, "Husky, Husky, Hokage-sama wants to see you!!"

'This voice… Was it Wild Cat?'

Kanpū got up from his futon, rubbing his lower back, and stumbled as he got dressed, lazily calling out: "I'm coming, wait a moment."

Mei opened her beautiful eyes, propping up her head with one hand and holding the blanket with the other. She asked lazily, "Who?"

"An old teammate from the Anbu." Kanpū said righteously while pulling up his pants, "I'm heading out to work, wait for me at home."

Mei gave a charming smile, "Come back early."

Kanpū, feeling loved and appreciated, was instantly revitalized and walked out with a spring in his step!

Compared to the previously hot-tempered Mei, Kanpū certainly preferred this gentler version of her.

'But a little spice now and then was acceptable, I wasn't a picky person!'

'Aiya, my pants felt a bit tight.'

Kanpū loosened his crotch and walked out of the bedroom with small steps.

When he passed the front yard, he encountered Hayate, who gave him a particularly wretched expression. At first glance, it can be seen that he's not someone from a respectable household!

'Ptui!'

'I am ashamed to be associated with you!'

Kanpū look steadily forward as he walked out of the mansion. Wild Cat was already impatiently waiting and yelled upon seeing him, "Husky, you're such a slowpoke."

'It's still early, and I'm not even mad at you for disturbing my sleep…' Kanpū coughed dryly and said, "What does Hokage-sama call me for?"

"You'll know when you get there. Hurry up, don't keep Hokage-sama waiting." Wild Cat urged.

"I got it, I got it." Kanpū waved his hand and instantly teleported using the Flying Thunder God Technique.

A few seconds later, Kanpū appeared in front of Hokage Tower and walked in.

When he arrived at Hokage's Office, Minato said with a smile, "Hanfeng, how is your rest these past few days?"

'How is my rest? How could a married middle-aged man like you not know?'

Kanpū reservedly said, "It's okay."

Minato nodded, then with a smile on his face, he said: "Kanpū, your vacation is almost over. Starting tomorrow, you will replace Tenzo as the Jonin Instructor of Team 7."

'No way?'

'So I'll have extra light bulbs following me around?'

'Especially Naruto, that kid's like a super bright light bulb!!'

Kanpū was clearly displeased.

"What's wrong?" Minato asked strangely.

Kanpū, of course, couldn't explain his real reasons. Instead, he used Tenzo as a shield, then passionately said, "Hokage-sama, wouldn't doing this be unfair to Tenzo? He was captured by Orochimaru, and we still don't know if he's dead or alive. At a time like this, for me to take his place... I feel really guilty!"

Hearing this, Minato replied seriously, "Orochimaru's hideout is too well hidden. While Anbu has been continually searching for him, we've made little progress. We can't only wait for Tenzo. As for Team 7, I have already discussed this with Tenzo beforehand, so you shouldn't have any psychological burden."

"…That's good then."Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Kanpū forced a smile. But then, he suddenly remembered something, and then said, "But Hokage-sama, before I take over Tenzo's team, I need to go somewhere first."

"Where?" Minato asked curiously.

"Ryuchi Cave!" Kanpū said in a cold tone, "I need to settle the score with the three Snake Miko and the White Snake Sage!"

'Those three naughty little girls had the audacity to unilaterally 'terminate' our contract without notifying me. This is intolerable!'

'There is also that White Snake Sage behind those three naughty little girls. Without her instigation, those three wouldn't have dared to breach our agreement!'

'If I don't avenge this, I, Gekko Kanpū, would be put to shame!'

"White Snake Sage is an ancient monster from the same period as the Great Toad Sage. She must be extremely powerful. Kanpū, I think you need to calm down." Minato hurriedly persuaded.

As the contractor of Mount Myoboku, Minato had the honor to meet the Great Toad Sage. At that time, he was shocked by the majestic Senjutsu Chakra fiercely contained in the other party's body. And since Ryuchi Cave is as famous as Mount Myoboku, he felt that there must not be much difference between White Snake Sage and Great Toad Sage!

Moreover, the depths of Ryuichi Cave are likely filled with numerous giant snakes like Manda. If Kanpū angered the White Snake Sage, and the White Snake Sage commanded all those powerful snakes to attack, they might even threaten Konoha…

Minato didn't dare to imagine such a scene.

Unfortunately, Kanpū is a stubborn person. Once he decided to settle a score, he had to see it through!

After all, he had just obtained the Tenseigan, so how could he pass up the chance to flaunt his power at Ryuichi Cave?

As for those big snakes, in Kanpū's eyes, they were nothing but living targets. No matter how many came, he would deal with them all!

When Minato saw he could not dissuade Kanpū, he smiled wryly and shook his head, "Since you've made up your mind, I won't stop you. Just be careful."

"Thank you, Hokage-sama." Kanpū thanked him and immediately used Flying Thunder God Technique to leave.

After Kanpū left, Minato still felt uneasy, so he formed hand seals and summoned Fukasaku from Mount Myōboku.

"Fukasaku-sama, I'm sorry for disturbing your training." Minato said with a slight bow toward the toad sage on his desk.

"Oh, it's you, Minato-chan. I just prepared a hearty breakfast. Would you like to join me in Mount Myoboku?" Fukasaku invited warmly.

"This…"

Images of juicy caterpillars immediately sprang to Minato's mind, making his face twitch. So, he hurriedly shook his head and declined, "I've already had breakfast."

"That's a shame." Fukasaku shook his head in regret, as if saying Minato would regret refusing his cuisine someday.

Minato quickly changed the subject and talked about Kanpū going to Ryuchi Cave to settle some accounts.

"Fukasaku-sama, if the White Snake Sage were to take out her anger on Konoha because of Kanpū, could we ask the Great Toad Sage to intervene?" Minato asked.

"Don't worry."

Fukasaku waved his toad hand dismissively and said, "Great Toad Sage Sage has already dreamed about it. Konoha won't be affected, don't worry."

'He's already dreamed about it?'

Minato knew that the Great Toad Sage's so-called dreams were actually glimpses of the future!

He hurriedly asked: "What about Kanpū? Will he be okay?"

Fukasaku shook his head, "Great Toad Sage didn't say it, but it shouldn't be a big problem. Okay. If there's nothing else, I'm going back to eat. Goodbye, Minato-chan."
