Chapter 431 Awakening Her
It was already too late to go to Ayumi's graduation, so I decided to visit her later.
BLINK!
I teleported directly to the Cerebrum HQ in Seoul, with a plan to address the matter concerning Alice. Since the three girls would be meeting Mio later, I intended to awaken her for their reunion.
Zayen had informed me before that Alice was not originally part of the five women in her vision. However, she had helped her because her power was also very unique.
She had two personalities: one was her normal self, and the other was her alter ego, who had the ability to link with others. Unlike my Mind Link, her power was different, in group, she could share the Mind Power of each of the five girls like a conduit .
Zayen figured this out when she was training the girls before.
I became intrigued by this ability because if that was the case, then she could technically transfer the Mind Power of other gifted individuals to me, increasing my own Mind Power depending on the number of gifteds available.
With her ability, I could influence thousands of gifted individuals and then siphon their power. Just imagining how powerful I would become during that time made her value no less than that of the five girls.
'Time to wake you up,' I touched her forehead and attempted to awaken her using the normal method of light healing, but as expected, there was no reaction whatsoever.
My next option was to directly enter her dream world. I used my Dream Manipulation ability, and my vision shifted.
However, instead of entering the dream world, I felt like I was in a different space altogether. I realized I had no control over it.
'What is this place?' I muttered to myself as I gazed on a large castle in the distance.
It resembled a European castle, standing in the middle of a lake.
However, the water surrounding it was not blue, but red, as if it were made of blood.
The castle itself loomed ominously, with towering spires reaching towards the sky and jagged edges casting eerie shadows. The air felt heavy and oppressive.
"Let's see if I can exit this place," I murmured to myself. Closing my eyes, I willed myself to awaken, and to my surprise, it worked. I found myself beside Alice again.
'So I can get out anytime,' I mused inwardly, touching my chin.
I had no control over that place, meaning it was not a dreamscape at all. I had some guesses, but my best one was that the place was some kind of Mind Palace, specifically the Mind Palace of Alice's alter ego.
It was highly possible, considering her alter ego was powerful. I bet she could create her own imaginative world while hiding within Alice's subconsciousness.
Having reached some conclusions, I once again touched Alice forhead and entered her mind. I wasn't afraid of getting stuck there because I was confident in my own Mind Power. I doubted that her alter ego was stronger than me.
Inside, I began testing my powers.
Thankfully, I could still use some of my abilities here, so I flew towards the castle to figure out what was happening.
As I got closer, I could discern more details: intricate carvings adorned the walls, stained glass windows depicted frightening scenes, and eerie statues lined the walls.
In the end, I reached the castle door. It was a big wooden door reinforced with metal to support its structure.
Continuing inside, I scanned the interior of the castle.
The entrance hall was grand and imposing, with towering ceilings and ornate chandeliers casting dim light.
The walls were adorned with tapestries depicting scenes of darkness and despair, while suits of armor stood sentinel along the corridors.
As I ventured further, I found myself in vast chambers filled with antique furniture and eerie artifacts. The atmosphere was heavy with a sense of foreboding, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched.
Experience new tales on empire
Then I made my way to the throne room, expecting the big boss to be there, but it was empty.
'This would be much easier if I could use my Advanced Map Tracker,' I thought to myself. Because this place was not real, some of my skills also didn't work.
"So, you finally came to visit me," a voice echoed behind me, and when I turned around, I saw Alice.
Well, it was more like her more mature version. She was wearing a black gown that complemented her blonde hair and blue eyesn/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Are you Alice or her alter ego?" I asked, maintaining my composure.
She smiled at me before replying, "The later."
"Then you're the one I need. You better wake up now," I chuckled. I wanted to utilize Alice with powers and not the useless one.
She was stunned by my words, not expecting that I would actually choose her rather than the original.
"You're being too mean. Don't you really care about her?" she asked with a confused look.
"Why should I?" I asked with a nonchalant tone.
Her expression softened, and she replied, "Because she cares about you, deeply. And because deep down, you care about her too, even if you won't admit it."
"Nope… Not at all," I shook my head firmly, emphasizing my honest feelings on the matter.
Alice's childhood sweetheart was not me. If I believed Zayen's words, then Alice's childhood friend was actually my SIMP son .
And I hated to break it to her, but that kid was already crazy in love with a woman who might be 10,000+ years old. Talk about GILF fetish taken to the extreme.
"Are you going to wake up, or should I force you?" I asked again.
"I... I can't," she shook her head sadly. "The original consciousness is sealed, and without her, I would also die ," she explained, a hint of desperation in her voice.
"So both of you are useless," I sighed in frustration.
Alice had been troublesome since day one, and now even her alter ego was problematic. If not for her ability, I wouldn't waste my time here.
"Please save her," she pleaded.
"Why? I could just let both of you die," I asked bluntly.
"I promise my loyalty to you if you save her," she insisted, a hint of urgency in her tone.
"I already have many loyal subordinates, adding one more won't make a difference," I replied firmly.
What do you think?
