Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1762: Order Into

Chapter 1762: Order Into

Death, destruction, schemes, and fear were unleashed with geysering force within the shortest period.

The three Mystic Overlords had almost pulled off the heist of a World Soul with frightening efficiency, largely ignored.

The two Sage-level assassins found their target with uncanny precision and dealt with her with even greater levels of efficiency.

The incoming Sage launched a mountain that rendered the Soulsword & Knightguard Array useless before it could be deployed against them. Their objective remained a mystery.

The three Sages of the Knightly Dao Pavilion had either been sent across millions of miles, suffered beneath the continent with a status that was currently unknown or had an arrow of decay plunged into their chest and sealed away in a formation shell to prevent any incoming aid. Shang Liu was out of his depths as those in this chaotic conflict were at a power level that exceeded his own.

As for the false Sage Skytouch, who was truly Original Magistrate Skytouch, she was relying on her acquired powers to observe everything and protect herself behind a sky blue mystic ward imbued with fluffy spiritual clouds as her facial expression behind the veil was as panicked and confused as the other lower-level cultivators. She was equally as stunned by all the unfolding chaos and rampant destruction.

And when the assassin lifted his arm, clenched a fist, and summoned forth greenish misty, miasmic-like mystic power, sending that fist barreling towards the floor, Sage Skytouch exclaimed with a gasp. That fist contained enough power to shatter the entire palace, destroy the continent, and perhaps the planet below!

Almost everyone here would die! Her eyes rapidly shifted to Shang Wanqing, and without hesitation, her Sage-level strength erupted and she soared!

Ninth Way, Ascension Art: Clouded Demon Soaring Steps!

She was like a demonic hawk forged from clouds as she arrived beside Shang Wanqing, touched her waist, receiving no rejection from the gorgeously gold light but repelled slightly by the sinister black light, yet she used her strength to suppress the sinister black light, albeit temporarily, and brought her away!

Like a fleeting cloud, replacing the sky with the world's principles, she melded with time, space, and mana, vanishing from the average senses.

The misty fist crashed down with deafening strength, sending waves of miasmic power outwards, threatening to engulf the entirety of the palace with its poisonous might before causing the palace, continent, and the planet to suffer from the resulting blast. However, just as it was about to unleash such unrelenting and indiscriminate devastation, granting these assassins a chance to flee in the chaos…

…time seemed to just stop.

But only to a single person within the room. Wei Wuyin had been passively observing events since the beginning, curious of so many things, and while he normally wouldn't interfere in such interesting matters that had very little benefit to himself personally, more than willing to let the chaos unfold as chaos does, the bow-wielding assassin was planning on destroying the Continent of the First Knight and the three Mystic Overlords were attempting to extract the World Soul.

If not for Cao Cuifen's explicit interest in this continent, even going as far as planning to purchase it after the event was over, he wouldn't have any investment to save it, and as he wasn't a saint, he didn't care about the lives of these guests, Sage Moonrise—another person's Alchemic Knight, or Shang Liu's daughter.

Yet even if he wanted to sit back and enjoy the show with a side of mystic quality dates and only protect the continent, let the chaos unfold as it would, he genuinely would find himself in trouble from Yue Songli's soft-hearted gaze in the future, and as this was her two years, he couldn't allow her to be saddened, frustrated, or angered without recourse.

"How troublesome." Wei Wuyin walked down from the fourth level to the third, examining the frozen expressions of pain, terror, distress, or unreactive ignorance. There were thousands upon thousands of deaths all around, splatters of bloody mist and headless corpses.

With a clap of his two palms, his mutated Minor Law of Time and Space alongside his Draconic-Paragon Energies of his Stellar-Paragon Physique and True Draconic Void Body began to activate, tapping into extraordinary temporal and spatial powers as his fragmented Mystic Runes glowed with mystical Soul Light laced with an aura of eternity. His hands glowed with a resplendent and rippling grey as if time and space were being molded between his fingers and palms with great precision.

Since consuming the transcendent Neo-Dawn World-Eclipsing Pill four times, absorbing its alchemical efficacy, this was Wei Wuyin's first time using his Mystic Force, and he felt a fundamental difference from before. As he was molding his ascended power to execute an Ascension Art, he halted for a second, looking at the bow-wielding Sage that was seemingly frozen in time. He wasn't frozen in time, but Wei Wuyin's movements and thoughts were on an entirely different level.

He suddenly had an urge.

Clenching his palms, Wei Wuyin gathered all that power into his right hand and clenched it, transforming it into a spherical giant pill the size of an infant's head. Then, he left it hovering there with a toss before leaping from the third level to the second, landing next to the bow-wielding Sage. The Sage's eyes were active, and he was thinking at speeds that could barely match Wuyin's movements, yet he was unable to rival that speed with the circulation of his mystic power or the movement of his body. That was impressive.

"You can hear me, huh?" Wei Wuyin spoke as he waded through the green misty poisonous power. "Condense," he waved his hand, and the power that would have destroyed the palace, continent, and perhaps the planet, was sealed within a pellet as the faint traces of the mutated Minor Imperial Law completed its job, forcing all that scattered power to condense and fit into his palm.

Then, he touched the bow-wielding Sage's shoulder, forcefully elevating his bodily attributes. The Sage stumbled backward as they adjusted to their rapidly moving body that exceeded anything they had moved before, even with the support of a peak Ascension Art backed by their full strength. Now, his mind and body were at equal pace, a feeling he hadn't felt during mid-assassinations before!

"You…" He looked around, trying to remain outwardly calm while his heart was pounding furiously like a gong with his tons of fear condensed as a hammer. With a short breath, the bow-wielding Sage didn't resist or argue or question. He only looked at Wei Wuyin and then kneeled on one knee with his head bowed.

"Spare my life."

Three simple words firmly allowed Wei Wuyin to identify this man was self-aware. This made this easier.

"Do you know why I should kill you?" Wei Wuyin asked flatly.

The bow-wielding Sage had a lot of things he was unable to accept here, and that was the lie that was told by his employer that a Supreme Sage or Enlightened Sage wouldn't act. When they received word that the foreign Worldly Saint Alchemist was here, and they witnessed the depth of his Alchemic Dao and then knew their identity had more or less been exposed after some probing, the two Sages were already determined to postpone their mission.

But when opportunity struck, it was hard not to seize it. The asteroid rain and then the exploding mountain were variables they hadn't expected, and figuring that Wei Wuyin would be too busy to care for them, especially since they didn't intend to harm any of his wives or entourage, they went through with killing Sage Moonrise with brilliant success.

She was literally on the verge of death in that formation shell, likely not long for this world in about a few seconds and the shell wasn't something a Sage could easily break in a few seconds. This was all expertly calculated. However, he knew where he went wrong.

"I carelessly tried to destroy the palace, and this might have caused some harm to your wives. I deeply apologize for my offense, and am willing to take any punishment." There was no deflection done, and the bow-wielding Sage straight admitted his fault. He was going along with the plan and had gotten overzealous, forgetting about Wei Wuyin.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

This was especially so seeing how his fist that contained one of his strongest Ascension Arts was sealed in a small pellet. He understood his position.

"Good that you know. Then, who hired you to kill Sage Moonrise and why?" Wei Wuyin asked. He could kill this Sage, either scouring through his memories or asking him as a Soldier of War, but Wei Wuyin had some suspicions regarding his identity and how thoroughly this assassination was planned and executed.

"..." The bow-wielding Sage revealed an extremely conflicted expression. In the end, he remained silent.

"Good," Wei Wuyin nodded in admiration. That praise caused the bow-wielding Sage to feel teeth-chattering cold. He opened his mouth and hurriedly pleaded, "I can offer my services for fre—"

Wei Wuyin didn't let him get out another syllable as his amplification left him. Then, he poked his finger into the bow-wielding Sage's glabella, releasing a flash of saber light, and his brains were scrambled, piercing his Soulguard, and ending his life.

It was difficult to kill a Sage, and while this assassin was strong as a Sage, he didn't wield a Minor Authority to reinforce his Soulguard and his foundation wasn't too firm, likely having ascended as a Sage using a first-tier True Breath of a Sage. This wasn't bad by any means, especially if eight collaborative efforts yielded on third-tier True Breath, then this was already an outstanding achievement for a cultivator, worthy of being classified as a slightly below-average Sage.

After all, Shang Liu had been a Mystic Overlord for 170,000 years and hadn't condensed a first-tier True Breath of a Sage that was able to let him ascend properly.

"When did Sages become cabbages?" The Heavenly War Spirit sighed emotionally.

Wei Wuyin extracted his spoils of war, and pushed his hand toward the formation-wielding Sage, causing his body to chaotically tremble before he was sent out into the Dark Void a few billions of miles away. Wei Wuyin wasn't a janitor to clean up everyone's mess. He killed that Sage because he brainlessly decided to make an explosive, indiscriminate attack. That was an attack against him and Cao Cuifen's future property.

The other Sage was merely irrelevant.

As for the Mystic Overlords, Wei Wuyin just lightly stomped his foot down, sending a pulse of Spiritual Strength that disrupted their extraction efforts and prevented the World Soul from leaving anytime soon. Whether they can escape or not will be up to them.

With a wave of his hand, he collapsed the formation shell, revealing a blackened and decaying and crumbling Sui Yuan whose beauty was non-existent, replaced by a horrific, shriveled visage without a shred of cloth on her body. He took the arrow embedded into her. If Azure Rain or the others can save her, then that would be her fortune.

If not, that'll be her last misfortune.

Taking the peak Mystic-World grade bow and Heavenly Treasure grade arrow, Wei Wuyin decided to let Yao Houyi play with it later.

"Now," Wei Wuyin brought some order to the chaos, but outwardly, there was barely any evidence of his earlier actions. This action, however, was bound to be noticeable.

Minor Ascension Art: Void Reversal of Life and Death.

Targeting only souls and living bodies beneath the World Emperor level, Wei Wuyin executed his unique brand of Temporal Reversion relying on the giant pill as it exploded into a splendid flood of grayish light! In the blink of an eye, the exploded heads and bloody mists pieced together like a flawlessly solved puzzle, transforming into mortals and juniors of weak cultivation and frail bodies.

They were then protected by a nearly invisible light grey glow, shielding them from the asteroid rain.

Wei Wuyin then returned to his seat next to the shouting and angered Shang Liu. He took a sip of his drink.

"Let's see what happens next…"

The chaos resumed!

WHOOOOOSH!!

BOOOM!

A Sage crashed violently into the palace from outside like a mountain, flying directly toward false Sage Skytouch and Shang Wanqing!
