Chapter 121 Hallucination Or Reality?
[Is Starlight Vinegar difficult to make?] Garm asked, equally surprised, but for a different reason. The usually dismissive Belieth was actually surprised, which was quite a shocker to him.
Belieth snorted.
[Difficult? Do you think a mere Grade 2 ingredient is something special? Where I'm from, parents bathed their newborns in Divine Grade Starlight Water.]
[I'm merely surprised a Mortal knows how to create Starlight Vinegar. Starlight Vinegar is not easy to create, like how the menu makes it sound. It requires a special technique to draw Starlight into the vinegar.] Belieth explained, since he was in a surprisingly good mood, much to the delight of Garm.
At this point, Garm had stopped reading the menu and simply waited for Belieth. All he did was move his eyes across the words, letting Belieth read them.
[Dragon Fly Flake Salt? How the Hell did this brat get his hands on a Dragon?] Belieth shouted in pleasant surprise before his tone turned into confusion. [Could it be Dragons truly exist on Arcadia?]
[Frostfire Black Pepper? Never heard of it. It's only Grade 1. No wonder I've never heard of it. This mighty Sovereign used to consume only foods at the Divine level. It's good enough that this Sovereign remembers Mortal ingredients.] He snorted in disdain, while not forgetting to praise himself.
But then, as Garm's eyes moved to the next set of words, Belieth was shocked, so much so that he did not even utter a single word.
Garm was confused why Belieth remained silent, but he knew better than to ask.
Only after a long few seconds, did Belieth mutter in a shocked tone, [How did a Mortal acquire an ingredient from a different world? Could it be Arcadia is linked to Pyrofrostia via a Secret Realm?]
[Hmmm. That must be it.] Belieth convinced himself, refusing to believe a Mortal could travel between worlds.
[Garm, move your eyes down. Let this Sovereign see the next ingredient.]
[Right. Right. Sorry. Haha.] Garm chuckled apologetically and looked down.
[One Pinch Of Chopped Netherbane Chives.]
[Netherbane Chives.]
[Ingredient Grade.]
[Grade 2.]
[Origin.]
[Mortal Hell; grown underneath the Crying Ember Tree.]
Belieth read each word just as he did previously, but this time, Garm sensed something odd in his tone. It was almost as though he was in a trance.
[Netherbane Chives… Has this Sovereign gone insane from being stuck in this Mortal World for millions of years and having to spend an equally awful time with Fatty Garm?]
'...' Garm was speechless and wanted to complain. How could spending just over seven hundred years with him be comparable to spending millions of years of solitude?
[Am I hallucinating?]
Belieth felt like he was going crazy. He felt that if he had a heart, it would be pulsating faster than the sound of a war drum.

There was no way an ingredient only grown in Hell would be in the Mortal World. The chances of it appearing here were slim to none.
"Hey, are you going to order or not?" Lucian said with a frown after the fatty remained silent for over a minute. The menu only had two items, so what was he still looking at?
[Order the dish! No, order all the dishes on the menu! This Sovereign will judge whether the ingredients are real!] Belieth hurriedly ordered Garm.
Garm nodded and glanced at the menu one last time before looking up at the waitress. "Give me all the dishes."
"Okay." Lily nodded while feeling his response was weird. Nevertheless, she continued, "One serving of Siren's Melody Poached Egg and a serving of Sous Vide Filet Mignon. Which level of doneness do you prefer, and will you be returning two hours later to eat or staying here until it's prepared?"
"Your restaurant has only two dishes? That's not even enough to fit the gaps between my teeth." Garm frowned, causing Lily to be speechless.
'No wonder he said 'all the dishes'. He didn't even read the menu. What a big dummy!' Lily cutely rolled her eyes as she grabbed the menu and turned it to the second page. She then explained the requirements to eat it.
Once Lily finished explaining, she waited.
[Order a medium rare Sous Vide Filet Mignon.] Belieth tiredly yawned.
[Didn't you tell me to eat only raw meat?]
[Yeah, but this and that's different.] Belieth yawned again. [Lucian's an Alchemy Chef. He can maintain the natural Mana from ingredients during the cooking process. He's different from common rabble.]
[Now, I'm going back to sleep. Wake me up when the food is ready. Remember not to screw up.]
Twenty seconds or so later, Lily pushed the kitchen door open. Once it closed, she deactivated the Mosaic Skill, revealing her beautiful appearance.
Lucian immediately frowned and closed the serving hatch.
"Lily, you should be more careful next time." Lucian gently scolded. "What if your appearance gets seen?"
Lily blushed and fidgeted cutely. "Hehe~! Lily is sorry~!"
Lily liked the feeling of being cared for by someone who was not family.
She then reported Garm and Albert's orders.
"Two servings of both Siren's Melody Poached Egg and Sous Vide Filet Mignon," Lucian repeated and got busy.
With practiced ease, Lucian prepped the ingredients for both dishes. In record-breaking time, two Siren's Melody Eggs were placed in simmering Mana Water and Starlight Vinegar. Throughout the entire time, his Mana Sense remained focused on Lily, who had continued fidgeting as though she wanted to say something but did not know how to say it.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Lily, is there something you would like to ask me?" Lucian asked after placing the seasoned steaks in separate vacuum-sealed bags with aromatics.
As Lucian waited for her, he washed his hands.
Soon, he heard a meek-sounding voice.
"Lily wanted to know when she could see Grandpa Max's son. Once the Siren's Melody Poached Egg is served can Lily visit him?"
"... That was what you were anxious about?" Lucian smiled bitterly "When I saw your fidgeting body I thought you wanted something difficult to obtain."
What do you think?
