Chapter 2350: Burst Open
Chapter 2350: Burst Open
Sam activated shadow fusion and extended his hand to Rashma.
"We are going through that path?"
"That is the only spatial gateway that wouldn't alert the four teams. The only other way is to break the barrier and I don't want to do it."
Rashma pursed her lips and held his hand.
Sam activated Shadow transference and took her away from there. Far away, in a special spot Sam picked, Crow is waiting for them while fidgeting around. The spatial tear opened up revealing Sam and Rashma along with a ton of shadow energy that invaded the surroundings.
Sam hurriedly treated Rashma, while the spatial tear closed. Once he removed all the shadow energy from her body, he left that spot once again. He arrived at a spot that is exactly the center between the first two trap zones.
He took out a giant pillar from his storage and planted it there.
After that, he went to the center of the second and third trap zones. He once again planted another pillar there.
For the next few minutes, he kept on planting pillars. In the process, he did attract some enemies that tried to attack him. Some creatures that wanted a piece of him, however he never bothered to stop. He didn't even retaliate. He just dodged, blocked and escaped as he planted pillars.
Once he is done with planting at least one pillar between two consecutive trap zones, he came back to the spot where the other two are waiting.
"What's next?"
"We just wait. And then we will use the new trinket that I just made. It is working really good. I want to see to what extent that it will escalate this situation."
As Sam said, they just waited there.
Meanwhile, the pillars that he placed at different spots started glowing. The glow also extended to the trap zones that he set up. The formations blocking the creatures from getting out of the trap zones are vibrating. The energy waves coming out of it spread far and wide, alerting all the candidates throughout the pocket dimension.
Everyone whether they were fighting or escaping, stopped for a minute.
Because along with the energy vibrations of the formations, they also felt something else. The collective aura of all the creatures trapped in those formations leaked out. Not even all of it, just a little bit.
A small teeny tiny bit of it and that sent shivers down their spines.
The violet creatures, just a couple of them are already a handful to them, but any one of the trap zones created by Sam has dozens of those creatures and they are multiplying with every passing second.
Some of the people closest to the trap zones felt the effect the most and they immediately ran towards the formations. They wanted to check out what is happening and then they saw it.
The trap zones are getting unstable.
The creatures that are banging against the formation barriers, finally saw some results.
It is not like these candidates haven't seen the creatures and the trap zones before. They just ignored it and even thanked the person who trapped them in their hearts. The pocket dimension is fraught with danger and one less creature is one less trouble for them.
They also just attributed the increase in the creatures inside the trap zones as a side effect of trapping them.
After all, the creatures obviously will try to get out and in process get hurt which increases their number. But as long as they are not out of the barrier, who cares. At least, they didn't.
However, they didn't expect they will be coming out now.
Judging by the way, the energy is leaking out from all directions, they knew all those zones are going to burst out. Everyone tried to run to the spot where they could sense the least amount of energy. That made them all gather towards the center. However, the center is awfully close to the tunnel trap that was set up for Rashma.
They weren't able to enter the formation from outside. And they are unable to sense what is inside. Their vision was blocked and so were his senses. Before they could think of what is going to happen... it happened.
The formations broke open.
The creatures for some reason, all ran in the same direction. Towards the center. They didn't go the other direction, towards the edge of the pocket dimension. Of course, it is not because of the lack of trying.
Some creatures, just wanted to run that direction to avoid the traffic of the other creatures, however the moment they did, an invisible barrier appeared and blocked their movements. They couldn't move no matter how much they tried.
Sam thing happened to the other participants. They were unable to go past that barrier as well. They tried to break it, but they couldn't, not fast enough to escape from the swarm of the violet level creatures that are trying to get a piece of them.
They also felt like the creatures are a bit... angry? If that is even possible?
Hundreds of creatures flooded the pocket dimension. Sam, Crow and Rashma looked at the scene. They could feel the energy fluctuations, the creatures are rampaging over the area. They are not just attacking the candidates, they just destroyed everything. The ground, trees, rocks, and the participants.
The only thing that they didn't attack was the other creatures.
The participants couldn't even hold back anymore. They pulled out all of their tricks. Rashma's grin went crazy. Her aura is raging, as if she finally got a new lease on life.
"All these things. I can fight them. All of them..."
Just when she was about to run off, Sam stopped her and tossed a spatial ring to her.
"Do me a favor and strap those creatures with this, when you are done, send me a signal. An explosion of a creature up in the air over a fifty meters in the sky should do.
Rashma nodded and disappeared from there."
"What do you want to do?" Sam asked Crow.
Crow gulped in nervousness.
"This is way too much."
"Of course it is. I just multiplied the danger of this place by twelve, or fifteen, I don't know exactly. But you ought to handle this carefully. Have more spatial transference tokens with you. Don't get entangled in special spots that I have marked.
My recommendation is that you don't go out on your own."
"You will come with me?"
"Sure, why not? Just pick a target. You can fight with that target, I will keep the creatures from that place away. I need to make those creatures more powerful. It will work both ways." "Why are you doing this? Why are you making this whole place a mess? You have higher mobility than most, your escaping tricks... I have never seen someone using spatial blink like you do. You have the best control of all that I know of.
You could have still performed and achieved what you wanted by dealing with these guys with
your bag of tricks.
Why are raging all this havoc?"
"Crow, you have asked way too many questions and we have had way too many conversations until now. I think it is better if we move past this.
Just assume that I am a fucking lunatic that likes to create trouble and all your questions are
answered with just that one assumption.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Now, pick a target and we will move on."
Crow shrugged and indeed picked a target from the list Sam provided. Both of them used the spatial blink to reach there.
It is a candidate from Poseidon academy. One of the guys Crow is acquainted with and kind of a rival. By the time Sam and Crow arrived there, he is had his blue hair covered in blood of his own. Two violet creatures and a bunch of other lower level creatures surrounded him.
He is using all his strength to deal with him.
He emptied half his energy reserves and is panting heavily. He has several tears and bruises all
over his body.
When he sensed the spatial fluctuations and saw the two people that arrived, he cursed under
his breath.
Crow didn't miss the chance, he maneuvered through the gaps between the creatures and
arrived at the candidate.
Meanwhile, Sam let his shadow undead out and tangled around with the creatures. The undead carried his new trinkets and attached them on the creatures.
Along with the shadows, he also let the shadow mice out. Making them hold the creatures
down, while Crow and the opponent hand their little contest.
"You... fighting me while we are in this shit? Gambler academy does create the twisted and
self-centered idiots.
Why don't you meet me on the fair ground, Crow?"
"Because I wouldn't be able to do this."
Crow slipped past an attack from the opponent and tried to stab him, when the opponent
blocked, the stab became a blow that sent the opponent flying. Sam at the moment released one of the creatures, which happened to be in the way of the opponent's flying trajectory, catching him with its good white teeth.
