Chapter 1179 Dilinia
1179 Dilinia
Flickering flames lit up Kana's face as a large chunk of meat roasted over them. In her hand was a huge leg of freshly roasted meat that she looked at curiously. "For a monster who did nothing but talk bout panties, you sure do taste good."
Kana looked at the tall trees around her, the stench of blood still fresh in the air, mainly from the huge pile of pantsu monsters at her side. She did not expect these pantsu monsters to come out in such large groups. They did not stop appearing until after she killed over a hundred of them. "I guess I killed enough of you to turn this place into a dead zone for tonight." Kana did not plan to return to her hideaway. She never planned to stay there for a long time. Now that she had a sword, she could begin diving deeper into the forest. She did not know what awaited her. She did not even know if she was going in the correct direction. She just wanted to take this chance to grow even stronger. It was not every day her powers would be locked, and she was forced to use only her physical strength. It brought her back to when she was first starting out, and that was all she had.
Kana filled her belly to the point that it protruded out. She had not had so much meat in a while which felt refreshing to her. "Urp! Ahh… That really hit the spot."
"Now I just need to figure out where to go from here….." Kana dug at her teeth with a stick she sharpened and stood up. The morning sun was just now coming up, which was a perfect time to get moving. "Would be nice if I could find a spring someplace. A hot spring would be nice."
Kana picked a direction and began walking. Not far behind her a humanoid figure was slowly following along. It had found Kana to be interesting since it had never seen such a person before. Kana traveled quite some ways before she began sensing something was off. She had been getting a strange scent for a while now, and it would only arrive when the wind blew in her direction from the back. Kana came to a stop in a small field within the forest and turned around. "Come out. I know you are there."
The humanoid figure that had been following Kana peered out from behind a tree and looked at the dragon girl in front of them. Seeing as Kana was staring at the tree it was behind, it knew it had been discovered. "So you discovered me…." The figure walked out into the morning light. When Kana looked upon the figure she saw that it was a young woman. Her long black hair fell down to her ankles. On top of her head were three horns. Two on the side of her head and one on her forehead. Each horn was as black as night. She was around Kana's height and body appearance, but she was no dragon girl. She had a long slender tail like a demon race and two small bat wings on her back. "I did not think I would see another person in this world." Kana mused. She did not know what her past self was wanting to do by having such a person like this in her trial.
"I have been here for so long that I have long forgotten that there were other people until I saw you." The young woman replied. "You are the first being to enter this realm since it was created. The monsters here are not easy. And you can't even use magic. It is a place where only those with strength can survive. But you were able to kill the Palions. Not just one but a whole herd of them. This is no small feat." "You talking about the panty monster? They were quite annoying. Can I ask why you are here? How did you come here? This place is a trial my past self set up for my future self." Kana was very confused about why this girl was there.
"I did not come here by choice but more like by accident." The young woman sighed as she came to a stop in front of Kana. "My name is Dilinia. I was once the demon queen of the Demon's Abyss."
"I'm Kana. I am ummm… the ruler of chaos?" Kana tilted her head at her own question. She did not know what she was. "You can say that the only one who could seal my powers is myself. This realm you are in is nothing but a trial. Once I reach the other side, I will leave. If you wish to tag along, I might be able to send you out of this place as well." Since Kana felt no malice from Dilinia, she did not plan to treat her as an enemy. Plus, it would be nice to have someone else to talk to while she traveled. That is, unless Dilinia decided to turn against her in which, she would turn around and kill the self-proclaimed demon queen. "Hmmm? You are quite trusting. You just met me, but you are willing to allow me to travel with you. Why would you do that?" Dilinia asked out of curiosity. She never met such a person. With no idea who she was, the girl before her offered to allow her to join her on her journey and even help her escape this place. Thinking about it, she really did not know how to react.
"Trust has nothing to do with it. With all the lives I have lived, you can say that I have quite a bit of wisdom. I do not trust you in the slightest. But that does not mean I can't let you join me. It just means if you make the wrong move, I will crush into the ground as flat as a pancake."
