Chapter 463 The War In Asgard
The moment harbingers noticed the oncoming players, the shrill they let out was deafening. The disorientation they had felt wore off the moment all of them could feel the threat.
They started running towards the danger, some had weapons some had balled their fists into weapons, with a single purpose, wipe out the entirety of Asgard so that their lord could access all the worlds that were connected to it.
This had become their new mission since they couldn't access these worlds due to being connected with the one they were attacking. With Hubris, Kiro had decided that even the worlds with no beings would be connected through the bridge with Asgard.
He didn't want to take any chances, didn't want to leave any world behind that could be used as a backdoor by the ancient one, this way they could more or less limit where the war takes place. A game that allowed them infinite lives, at least that was what he was hoping.
But he wasn't there, their supposed leader for the war was late. They were about to make first contact and already with three guardians down with Nikolai and Felix also in the wind.
The distance between the two sides was growing smaller by the minute, the heavens were sad, the update had made it so the clouds were grey, no sun. The rain was in the air but it wasn't falling, the grass was as green as they ever saw it.
"Archers!" Without Kiro there Hiro took it upon himself to make early decisions and hopefully give them an advantage.
"Fire!" He continued.
As every experienced Archer heard him they didn't argue and followed his command. Almost at the same time they jumped higher into the air, higher than everyone running in the ground.
Being as strong as they, they were able to remain in the air for quite some time. Enough to study the speed in which the harbingers ran with, giving them information on where to shoot in order to do more damage.
Isla thought the air up there felt freeing and incontaminated, it didn't harbour the same pressure as she felt down there. For a second she wished to stay up there forever.
'Steady, steady.' She thought to herself aiming at the hoard running towards them, her arrow was a bulk of chaos energy.
The few hours may not have been enough but she took the time to practice her mana arrow, well, kaos arrow as she liked to call it not just because the energy was called something different but also because of how destructive the arrow proved itself to be.
'Now!' She let go almost at the same time as the ones up there with her. She noticed Ursa at a distance but didn't give a second thought.
Gravity wasn't their friend as it pulled them down once again. Isla could use her air steps but that would take a chunk of her energy and she needed to reserve it. She could still manage the same job even with jumping up and down.
Within seconds of them touching the ground an explosion took place, loud and unbelievably strong. Isla was already in the air, the impact was felt even from where they were and the battlefield was filled with dust making it impossible for most of them to see.
Aerial view was different though, that coupled with the fact that she was a guardian helped her out. She could see little movement from the dust filled space.
"Keep going everyone, keep your weapons at the ready, the clash is almost here." She screamed so everyone could hear her.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
They damage they had done at the front was greater than any of them anticipated, but this didn't change the fact that the portal was still birthing a harbinger every second. The disorientation was inevitable but it took them less time to come into terms with what was happening.
They could smell the blood and war from afar.
"Archers, let's aim by the portals. Attacking the ones that are already here will not only kill them but also our comrades!" Isla gave her order.
"Aren't we supposed to provide support for the people in the ground?" Ursa was not trying to question her leadership.
Isla looked at her, she had to remind herself to remain calm. "Let's split teams, attacking the ones up there is still supporting, plus they came out of that portal all confused at first, it would be a waste to not utilise this advantage. Those with precision and power at this distance will come with me, those who fair better at close range will stay here with you Ursa."
Time was of the essence, they understood what she was trying to do so the group of archers was split into two, one focused here the other focused faraway.

Isla thought they'd wasted enough time talking so without wasting any more she took a deep breath, aimed and fired rapidly without considering the consequences of using Kaos the way she was, the only thing on her mind was to destroy every Harbinger or even the portal itself it were possible.
On the ground the clash had already happened, thanks to the archers' deadly attack earlier on they had an advantage in numbers, but this didn't make it any easier for them.
The harbingers sent were generals and above, it would take more than just a single person to take one down. Right before the clash the players on the ground separated themselves into teams, as though they had discussed it before hand.
Isaac leading his own team of eight people, he had decided to divide his into eight. He had his sword in hand, he'd gotten much better since the last time he had publicly been humiliated by Kiro.
His movements were swift, Isaac moved like a cheetah gunning for its prey but with the stamina of a hyena. His presence on the battlefield was impressive, he commanded his teammates well.
"Andel, back me up will you?" He yelled to his tanker, unlike before they couldn't use tankers to draw in monsters. Maybe it was because they were strong or the update changed it but it wasn't possible anymore.
What do you think?
