Chapter 340: Chapter 282, Blank Letter (One more chapter today.)_2
“Some time ago, similar events occurred at Gold and Silver Island. Some human dignitaries were captured imprisoning girls to drink their blood, and the association executed them,” the person who first began to answer about the Bloody Hand Pirate Group said.
“The association has been quite fierce lately.”
“Indeed, two vice-executives, I heard they’re both quite formidable. The association might forcefully intervene here soon.”
At this point.
The big-bearded man had lost interest.
His gaze moved with the voluptuous woman.
He made a few remarks offhand and walked toward the woman.
…
After listening to the conversation of several people, Wu Heng picked up his cup and took a sip.
These individuals formed a sort of small information exchange team, swapping the intelligence they’d gathered right here.
Besides the first matter about the Bloody Hand Pirate Group.
The other three pieces of news were indeed unknown to Wu Heng.
The big-bearded man mentioned the political situation in the Yeko Kingdom. The old king was critically ill, which led to increasingly tense situation across the kingdom.
This issue must be related to the succession rights, or perhaps someone is trying to seize the throne during this time.
Wu Heng found this strange.
Members of the Secret Cultivation Hall had all sorts of strange artifacts to extend their lives.
Couldn’t the king find a way to prolong his life?
Or perhaps, after an extension, he had reached the end of his life.
This matter didn’t have much impact on him, the only thing was ‘Slyther’ from Black Stone Town, but as a remote small town, and with Slyther being a steward of the association, it surely wouldn’t involve her.
The second piece of intelligence was about the ‘Iron Barrel Pirate Group.’ In the morning, when Andre Willow went to get the bounty posters, there was one that had a Flying Dragon.
Just as they had confirmed it as their target, it had changed captains.
The third piece of intelligence was very directly related to Wu Heng.
The Blood Clan started abducting illegal Pale-bloods from various places; in plain terms, they were capturing members of the ‘Secret Cultivation Hall.’
This was something Wu Heng wanted to see; it was best if they were killed off so they didn’t dare to show their faces.
…
After finishing lunch.
Wu Heng and Andre Willow walked straight out of the tavern.
Andre Willow returned to the association to continue her shift, while Wu Heng went directly to the Snake Badge Consortium.
In the hands of the leader of the Bloody Hand Pirate Group, he had obtained two bank drafts from the consortium.
Entering the consortium, he was invited into the lounge after showing his Emblem.
As soon as he sat down in the lounge, a middle-aged man in a suit followed him in.
He respectfully asked, “Guest, what can I do for you?”
Wu Heng took out the two bank drafts, pushed them across the table, and said, “Get the items out.”
“Of course, guest. Please wait a moment!”
The man took the drafts and walked out directly.
Before long, when he returned, he was followed by two employees, each holding a sandalwood-colored wooden box.
Wu Heng glanced at them. Judging by the effort the employees used to hold them, there probably wasn’t anything heavy inside.
It’s unlikely to be Gold Coins or silver coins.
“Guest, these are the items for the drafts. If you have any further instructions, you can call us at any time,” the man saluted once again, taking the other two people and leaving the room.
Once the room’s door closed.
Wu Heng bent down to place the two wooden boxes in front of him and opened the first box directly.
Inside were two dock warrants, laid flat.
Wu Heng flipped them over, taking out the paper slips.
‘North Santa Claus Shipyard: Ship Warrant – Large Warship’
‘North Santa Claus Shipyard: Ship Warrant – Large Warship’
Two ship warrants.
Wu Heng frowned.
Pirates were storing ship warrants at the Snake Badge Consortium?
What sort of move was this?n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Wu Heng had speculated about money, about Special Items.
But he never expected it to be ship warrants stored at the consortium.
It didn’t matter, though, as he now had four ships.
Even though he had no plans to set sail, his own fleet’s strength was beginning to take form, certainly much stronger than most Pirate Groups.
His gaze continued to the second wooden box.
He opened it directly.
Inside was a blank envelope, sealed with wax in the shape of what seemed like a goat’s horn.
Wu Heng examined both the front and back.
He tore open the wax seal and dumped out the letter from within.
The letter was still a blank sheet.
Without a trace of handwriting, nor even the impression of having been written upon.
“A blank sheet?”
Wu Heng held it up to the sun, checking for a hidden layer within the paper.
In the end, it proved to be just an ordinary blank sheet.
Who would store a blank sheet in the consortium?
No matter how Wu Heng considered it, it seemed impossible.
He decided to pocket it directly into the Space Ring, perhaps requiring some special potion to reveal the hidden writing on it.
After getting everything in order.
Wu Heng walked out of the lounge.
He greeted the employees at the door, left the consortium, and headed toward his residence.
…
Upon returning to his place.
The moment he pushed open the yard door, he saw Mini and No.1 Gardener squatting on the ground, cultivating plants.
He was unsure whether the flowers in this world all sprouted so quickly or if they used some special method, but the seeds planted a couple of days ago were now sprouting tenderly.
The whole flowerbed was lush and green, no longer the original brown of the soil.
“Master, you’re back so early today!” Mini cheered and scampered over.
Wu Heng wrapped an arm around her shoulder, saying, “Not much to do, so I came back early.”
“Master must have missed Mini, really, Master’s getting more and more clingy,” Mini said in a soft voice as she clung to his waist.
Wu Heng smiled and pinched her cheek, “You seem like you’re acting in a play.”
“Really? Do I have a talent for it?” Mini asked as they walked together towards the room.
“Maybe, we’ll have Wei’er take a look tonight.”
“Hehe, good!”
At dusk, Andre Willow also returned from the association.
What do you think?
