Chapter 730: Chapter 365: The Vengeance of the Fox Tribe Demon Ancestor
 

In the Cave Mansion of the Golden Peng Clan’s Demon Ancestor, Lin Yi constantly sought advice about various subjects, asking the Tribulation Demon Patriarch to explain things for him. The questions he posed were carefully prepared, and tremendously helpful in enhancing his own cultivation and his overall strength.

These “sheep” ripe for shearing were all old demons who had lived for over ten thousand years; to learn everything they knew would take hundreds or thousands of years, and that would only be the beginning.

Of course, in return, Lin Yi occasionally shared with these Demon Patriarchs his insights into the Five Elements and the Laws of Heaven and Earth, though they were quite basic.

Having accepted his teachings, these Demon Patriarchs established a teacher-student relationship with him, and every so often, as befits a teacher, he would receive gifts of gratitude from his demon student disciples.

The plan that Lin Yi had conceived back in the Dan God Secret Realm of the Lower Realm—to shear wool from both ends—was now being realized with these Tribulation Demon Patriarchs.

The title of teacher was even more unique than that of student. As the saying goes, once a teacher, forever a fatherly figure; thus, even if he did not teach these students in the future, he would still periodically receive gifts of gratitude.

When shearing wool, Lin Yi would stay within the Demon Patriarchs’ Cave Mansions. As Tribulation Demon Patriarchs, their residences were extremely vast, not only inhabited by the Demon Patriarchs themselves but also by several of their Fusion realm kin, similar to the underground palaces of the Fox Clan.

It was simply unthinkable for him to shear wool for a day and then return to his own Cave Mansion—it would be terribly inefficient. So, he would reside in the Cave Mansion of whichever Demon Patriarch’s wool he was shearing.

And so, more than a decade passed. Unexpectedly to Lin Yi, Bai Tianhong and two others had somehow convinced an Integration Stage Fox Demon to undergo purification and join the Holy Sect.

Whether among the Human race or the Demon Tribe, those at the Body Fusion Realm were scarce and powerful beings. Even though the Fox Clan had means of absorbing Yin Evil Qi to rapidly increase cultivation, the entire clan had only a few dozen who had reached Fusion.

Now, one of these individuals wanted to be purified and join the Holy Sect. This would certainly touch a nerve with the Fox Tribe Demon Ancestor.

However, Lin Yi felt no fear and assisted the Integration Stage Fox Demon with the purification rite. However, the purification of a living Integration Stage Fox Demon was quite an effort, consuming more than ten times the Aura of Creation within him compared to what was needed to purify a Void Refinement demon.

Luckily, there was plenty of the Aura of Creation within him; otherwise, it wouldn’t have been possible to complete the purification in one go.

If too many Fusion stage Fox Demons came in the future, he would have to perform the ritual in batches.

Two days after the Integration Stage Fox Demon was purified, while Lin Yi was receiving instruction from the Golden Peng Demon Ancestor, he suddenly felt a powerful presence charging straight towards the Cave Mansion. Judging by the Yin Evil Qi contained within it, it was likely the Fox Clan’s Demon Ancestor.

Soon, the Cave Mansion Formation began to shake violently. Then, an irritated voice rang out, “Long Ao, come out to face this Patriarch.”

A Void Refinement Golden Roc at the door hurried in, cupped his fists, and said, “Elder Ancestor, Elder Bai from the Fox Tribe is assaulting the Cave Mansion Formation and demanding to see friend Long Ao.”

The Golden Peng Demon Ancestor couldn’t help but look at Lin Yi with a smile and said, “Friend Long Ao, what is meant to come will always come.”

As one of the most powerful Tribulation Demon Patriarchs of The Five Major Demon Clans, how could he be unaware of the events occurring over the years with Long Ao’s Cave Mansion located within Golden Peng territory?

The Fox Tribe Demon Ancestor had sought out Long Ao before, only to leave empty-handed. This time, it was likely that he was truly angered.

He had felt, while purifying the Integration Stage Fox Demon, that the Fox Tribe Demon Ancestor wouldn’t be able to hold back this time. And yet, one had chosen to be purified and join the Holy Sect, devoid of any evil Qi. As the Ancestor of a tribe, how could he possibly swallow that indignity?

“It seems you’ve already prepared yourself, so I’ll let Elder Bai in,” said the Golden Peng Demon Ancestor with a smile.

Everything that had happened concerning Long Ao already demonstrated his extraordinary and powerful methods that were different from those of this world. Especially his ability to purify Fox Demons. Not only changing each highly malevolent Fox Demon into beings entirely free from evil Qi but even purging their hearts of all malicious thoughts was simply unimaginable.

Of course, he didn’t believe for a second that Long Ao was dedicated to helping the Fox Clan find the path of light without some element of retribution.

However, he did not stop it. The Fox Clan was almost universally despised among The Five Major Demon Clans—they were good at plotting and scheming and had tricked many monster beasts from the other four clans.

Moreover, Long Ao only seemed interested in purifying the Fox Clan and didn’t show much interest in any other. The Golden Peng Demon Ancestor had observed Long Ao’s purification process and saw no signs of coercion.

During the purification, the Fox Demons were completely conscious, freely able to leave at any time.

“Thank you, Elder Jin,” Lin Yi nodded. He was well prepared to face the Fox Tribe’s Demon Ancestor.

Upon receiving Lin Yi’s acknowledgment, the Golden Peng Demon Ancestor waved his hand lightly, opening the Cave Mansion Formation. “Elder Bai, if you have something to say, come inside.”

The next moment, the Fox Tribe Demon Ancestor’s presence rushed in, heading straight for Lin Yi. With the authority of someone who had Crossed Tribulation, it seemed to be intent on eradicating Lin Yi on the spot.
