Chapter 1570 Anticipation Of Wedding.
1570 Anticipation Of Wedding.
Meanwhile, outside, Jiang Yang concluded his call with his mother and approached the trio of women who had just finished their conversation.
"What's got you three looking so serious?" he inquired, a playful grin tugging at his lips.
"We were just advising Nicky not to take it easy on you anymore," Lu Lian replied with a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Why are you making my life difficult, Mrs. Ming?" Jiang Yang draped an arm around Nicky's waist, drawing her closer, and shot her a playful look. "Don't listen to her, okay?"
Nicky nodded, a faint smile playing on her lips, only to be interrupted by Lu Lian's teasing remark. "There she goes. A few sweet words from her man, and she's already melting."
Jiang Yang offered Lu Lian a teasing smirk. "Mrs. Ming, Your husband is looking for you."
Lu Lian frowned, "Just say that you want us gone so you can be alone with her."
"Well, you are not wrong at all," Jiang Yang replied with teasing smirk. "Let's not be the third wheel for them," Jiang Yuyan suggested with a smile, and she and Lu Lian walked away.
Jiang Yang shifted his attention back to the woman in his arms. "So, are you going to listen to her?"
"She was just teasing," Nicky replied, her tone light. "In fact, both of them advised me otherwise."
"Are you considering taking their advice?" Jiang Yang asked with a playful raise of his eyebrows.
"Maybe," Nicky responded coyly, a hint of mischief dancing in her eyes.
A widened smile graced Jiang Yang's lips. "I just got off the phone with my mother. My parents are coming back. Would you like to come visit them?"
Feeling a hint of hesitation, Nicky responded, "Won't it be awkward?"
"Not at all. In fact, my mother was delighted when I told her you're back and with me now."
"I'll come visit them," she agreed, her uncertainty easing.
In response, Jiang Yang continued to gaze at her, still holding her close, their bodies pressed together.
"What are you looking at?" she asked, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. She knew that look all too well.
"How about a kiss?" Jiang Yang asked, his request straightforward.
Though feeling shy, Nicky glanced around nervously. "Someone might see us."
Without speaking, he met her gaze again, silently conveying his desire.
"What?" she asked, puzzled by his wordless response.
"Do you realize you didn't say no to the kiss?" Jiang Yang pointed out.
Nicky realized she had only expressed concern about being seen, not unwillingness.
"I...I was just..." she trailed off, searching for words.
"Just admit you want it as much as I do," Jiang Yang's hand moved to caress her flushed cheek. "Since we've decided to give our relationship another chance..."
"I said I'll think about it," Nicky protested weakly.
"After being this close to me, do you still dare to say you haven't thought it through?" his gaze bore into hers, intense and unwavering. "Even if you haven't decided, a kiss might help you make up your mind faster."
Just as Nicky parted her lips to speak, they were swiftly sealed with a pair of warm lips, catching her off guard. Despite the surprise, she maintained her composure and responded to his kiss. It had been a decade since they had been this intimate, back when they bid farewell to each other.
Even after all those years, everything felt just the same—the touch, the gentle caresses, and the emotions in their hearts remained unchanged.
After a while, when they finally parted, Jiang Yang whispered against her lips, "Did it help you make a decision?"
Gasping for air, Nicky replied breathlessly, "Yes, it did."
"What's your answer then?" he inquired softly.
"I agree," she confirmed.
"We've missed out on so much. Let's make up for lost time," he suggested earnestly.
She nodded in agreement, and then heard him again, his voice husky with unspoken desires, "I mean all of it."
Understanding the implicit meaning behind his words, Nicky nodded in affirmation.
Finally, Jiang Yang pulled her into a tight embrace, and the two of them lingered there for a long while, savoring the warmth of their reunion.

When Jiang Yuyan and Lu Lian reentered the drawing room, they found the men engrossed in what appeared to be a serious discussion.
"What's all this serious talk about?" Jiang Yuyan inquired, her curiosity piqued.
"We're discussing Chairman Lu's preparations for the upcoming board meeting and the new changes in the company," Ming Rusheng explained, steering the conversation away from the topic of the Magnus family.
Jiang Yuyan nodded in understanding, while Lu Lian shot Ming Rusheng a disapproving look. "Why address my father by his title? He's your father-in-law."
"In matters of business, it's appropriate to use his title," Ming Rusheng responded. "Where are Jiang Yang and Nicky?"
Lu Lian gestured toward the glass wall that offered a view of the garden, where the couple was engaged in an intimate moment. Observing them kissing, An Tian remarked, "Jiang Yang doesn't waste any time, does he?"
"He's already wasted ten years. Any further delay, and he'd be asking for trouble," Lu Feng interjected, directing a pointed look at Jake and Noah. "Learn something from him."
Jake and Noah remained silent, not daring to challenge Lu Feng's authority.
"Ignore them, Lu Feng," An Tian commented with a sigh. "Now I'll have another wedding to prepare for, and more wedding dresses to fuss over."
"You should be grateful that we bring so much business your way," Jiang Yuyan retorted. "Stop complaining already."
"Grateful? I've yet to strike the best deal with you, President Lu. I'm waiting for your wedding so I can design the most extravagant dress and charge you a fortune that'll keep me living in luxury for the rest of my days without having to lift a finger," the dressmaker countered.
"Dream on. I'm a businesswoman; I won't be handing over any extra pennies," Jiang Yuyan shot back.
"I'll just send the bill to your husband, not you," he said, turning his attention to Lu Lijun. "You won't be so stingy, right?"
"Just name your price," Lu Lijun replied calmly, prompting Jiang Yuyan to frown at him. "Don't fall for his tricks, Lijun," she warned.
"It's alright," Lu Lijun reassured her. An Tian chuckled, "See who exactly fell for my trick."
Jiang Yuyan glanced around at the amused faces, including Lu Lijun's. "What's with the smiles? Did I miss a joke?" she asked, turning to Lu Lijun with a puzzled expression.
"He just got you to admit that you're looking forward to our wedding," Lu Lijun explained.
She shot An Tian a glare and fell silent. She had been avoiding the topic of her and Lu Lijun's wedding, fearing it might affect his position as the next President. However, in inadvertently admitting her anticipation, she realized she had inadvertently revealed her true feelings. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"I was just responding to his teasing," she said hesitantly.
"I understand," Lu Lijun replied softly, trying to comfort her from her embarrassment.
