Chapter 50: Chapter 50: Looting Against Native Inhabitants
On the third afternoon of the third week, Demon Blood and Evil Curse led 1,000 Frenzy Blood Spirit Monsters and 100 Evil Curse Spirit Monsters into the Bidirectional Teleportation Gate.
Of course, they didn't just recklessly enter, but sent someone to investigate first, discovering it was hidden within a cave, with a barren mountain outside.
Based on the intelligence, it seemed to be the territory of the Undead Clan, which gave Qin Muye quite a headache.
The risk involved was simply too great.
Qin Muye instructed Demon Blood to take the Bidirectional Teleportation Gate into his item inventory after leaving, to carry it with him for easy escape, and thus he wouldn't have to worry about being attacked at home due to insufficient troops.
There were two of these Bidirectional Teleportation Gates, one in Qin Muye's possession, and the other naturally was in the cave. He had no idea how the Undead Force had gotten ahold of it.
Or should he say, how had Molek acquired it?
Qin Muye guessed that Molek had likely already had dealings with this branch of the Undead Force, which is why he dared to venture into the Red Wind Plain this time, most likely to deliver this Bidirectional Teleportation Gate.
You must know that the chaotic magic power and divine power disrupt normal teleportation usage, making each entry a significant risk.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Qin Muye learned this from the books recorded in the Mage Reclassification Certificate.
Watching the Spirit Monsters enter the Bidirectional Teleportation Gate one after another, the gate extinguished again. Clearly, it was taken into the item inventory from the other side, causing it to lose spatial coordinates and become dormant.
"Intermediate treasures are like this, would advanced treasures be cross-server teleportation gates?"
Qin Muye speculated briefly, but soon put the thought aside, as it wasn't something he should be concerned with at this stage.
He did not stow away the Bidirectional Teleportation Gate, as Demon Blood and the others still needed to return; if he took it back into his item inventory, they would not be able to come back.
However, he didn't leave either, instead moving it to the library to read while keeping an eye on the situation, so he could stow it away promptly if anything unexpected happened.
By the evening, Qin Muye noticed his points had begun to rise, jumping directly by 5,314, clearly indicating that the Spirit Monsters had completed their first raid.
Besides the points, there were resources, treasures, and such, but he would have to wait for Demon Blood and the others to deliver them; otherwise, they would just remain in their item inventory and not be transferred directly to the Supplies Warehouse like Qin Muye's.
Heroes only possess some of the Lord's abilities, not all of them.
For example, Qin Muye's item inventory connects directly to the Supplies Warehouse; as large as the warehouse is, so is his item inventory.
Heroes don't have this; their storage space is limited, even if resources are digitized and don't occupy space in the item inventory.
Converting all his points to Basic Building Blueprints, he then learned, constructed, and upgraded all at once.
There was no point in saving them, as it was already the third day of the raiding activity, and more than half the time had passed. It would be futile to think about accumulating them, as they would be reset next week anyway.
It was better to use them all up.
Glancing through the points leaderboard, the first place True Dragon Emperor had already reached a seven-digit number. Qin Muye didn't know which force he had wiped out, and he was steadily moving towards an eight-digit number, making Qin Muye's corner of the eye twitch.
The second-place Exorcist Monk was also formidable with seven digits, rising swiftly, though slightly less than the True Dragon Emperor.
But it was exactly this slight difference that was causing their points difference to widen.
The leaderboard only showed the top ten names, and their points were incessantly rising, shooting up at an outrageous pace.
Since Qin Muye's points reached 5,314, they had not increased again, as, for the Spirit Monsters, finding targets also took time, and it wasn't as if they could just randomly encounter any.
This indicated just how large the Lords' forces on this leaderboard were, comprised of innumerable heroes, troops, etc.
Otherwise, how could they sustain such a steady flow of points?
And most likely, they were already well-established on the Magic Continent and far surpassed the indigenous residents.
"This time's event, seems to be targeting the indigenous people, right?"
Qin Muye narrowed his eyes. Although he didn't know how large this Magic Continent was, he knew one thing: If it were just about stirring conflict between Lords, there was no need for this event. Any of the top ten Lords could easily obliterate all the Lords that followed. Besides, what much could a minor Lord have in terms of resources? Though development was fast in three weeks, could it match the resources of the natives?
The few droplets of oil an impoverished person could scrape together pale in comparison to the mere crumbs on a wealthy person, let alone that there are even fewer Lords than poor folk, totaling just around a hundred now. The time it would take to find a Lord could garner tens of thousands of points.
Thus, Qin Muye and the other minor Lords were relatively safe, and he was even safer. As long as the Red Wind Disaster persisted, he didn't have to worry about disturbances.
Unless someone like Molek made an unexpected visit, but the natives likely didn't have the time to come either.
Every Lord was raiding; probably only his area was stable, while others must be in chaos.
The collective points on the leaderboard numbered in the tens of millions, showing just how many forces must have been eradicated to accumulate such points.
If there weren't resource buildings, it's likely that all resources would be monopolized by the high-ranking Lords.
"But after this event, we minor Lords will have a tough time," Qin Muye felt somewhat helpless; the natives of this Magic Continent already resented them, and now, with the
raiding actions, the image had plummeted to the lowest.
Raiding didn't mean destroying forces but capturing cities, looting, then leaving a mess behind, essentially reaping without sowing.
If another tricky operation comes up the fourth week, once the Adaptation Period passes, tsk
tsk...
Qin Muye could already imagine the misfortune of these minor Lords. Fortunately, the Red Wind Plain where he was located was enveloped in chaotic magic power and divine power, acting as a natural hazardous barrier.
He had also witnessed it; these two terrifying forces were indeed beyond his current abilities to contend with, so if he wanted to leave, it would have to be through that Bidirectional Teleportation Gate; otherwise, he would just have to honestly stay put.
But Qin Muye didn't mind; if it weren't for this raiding event, he wouldn't have used the Bidirectional Teleportation Gate at all.
"After this event, there are likely to be quite a few fifth-rank Lords emerging," Qin Muye looked at the points on the leaderboard. The activity would end with at least ten million points as a base, a number that was astronomical to him, beyond what one dared to even dream about.
What do you think?
