Mikala looked at Nessa, wondering if she argued with the man if there would be any consequences and she didn't want that, since she didn't want to cause her family any sort of problems.

Nessa looked at the man with a serious look on her face and he sighed and was about to say something to her, but at the same time, Kyle tapped him on his shoulder and he looked at the young man.

"You guys please don't argue over nonsense, there is nothing wrong with her training," Kyle said and Nesaa glanced at him, as did Mikala.

"You are right, there is nothing wrong with her training but as long as she is in this kingdom, she won't have to use her abilities for anything big, only a little, which is why I said that, she would hardly use it, she won't really have a duty anymore, especially if one of her family members isn't chosen," He replied and Kyle sighed.

"Nessa, there is no need to get angry or anything, you are right, there are many other reasons that she can use her abilities for, I am just saying that, from what's happening right now, even if one of her family members get the throne, she won't have much of a responsibility but like I said, you are right, she can use her abilities to do different things, I didn't mean anything wrong by it," Jovan said and Nessa's eyes narrowed as she looked at him. "I see, I understand, you say you didn't say anything wrong?" She asked as she stepped forward.

Mikala lowered her head and clenched her right fist and began mumbling something.

Nessa's eyes widened when she heard what the girl said, but Mikala didn't know that Nessa heard what she had said.

She glanced at the girl then scoffed and a smirk appeared on her face before she returned her attention to Jovan, who looked at the two of them.

"He is not that wrong Nessa, let it be, also just so you know, no matter what, they will need help. no matter how much power may be behind the person that takes the seat next, not everyone is going to be there at all times, am I right?" Mikala asked and Zack smiled at her, seeing she was steeping up in her own way and Nessa felt a little relieved, after seeing that as well.

Jovan's brows furrowed as he looked at Mikala and the girl stared right back at him.

"Well, there is no need to discuss this any further, it is pointless, I don't care what some people may think of me and changing who sits there, won't stop me from doing what I think is right here," She said and Nessa glanced at her.

"Hell, this is not even a discussion, Mikala," Nessa replied and Mikala sighed.

"She is right, I don't care which position you are in but I am going to say what I want to now, I want to get stronger and that's what I am going to do, to protect people, that's my goal and even if I have no more duties here, no matter where I am, at least I will have the power to help," She said and Nessa glanced at her then stepped aside and Zack smiled.

"Well, I am hearing you, you have a good heat kid, that much I have to say, there is no need to argue over this, everyone has the freedom to do as they please, well, not everyone, go see your brother, he wanted to meet with you, who knows what's going to happen when the king makes his announcement," He replied then left with a scoff and Kyle went with him.

Mikala's eyes narrowed as she looked at him and she gritted her teeth then clenched her fist and Zack sighed as he looked at her before looking at Nessa.

"Thank you," He said and she patted him on his shoulder.

"There is no need to thank me, she is a good person, she even has a few traits of being a good leader, I wonder why aren't some seeing it? Maybe they do but just wish not to acknowledge it," She replied and he exhaled deeply and then nodded.

"You are right, some people believe that a woman cannot rule a nation properly, especially in families where men have ruled for generations, not only them though, but others have different opinions," He said.

"It's probably because a woman has never taken the lead from the start and those who have, well there are many different sides to these stories, especially when it comes to leading, even some who have taken the step and are acknowledged as still looked down on, some aren't for many reasons, it all depends on the type of nation and people around you as well," The demon replied as he appeared behind them.

Nessa flinched as did Zack and he turned to look at him then pulled back a little and Nessa exhaled deeply then grabbed him by the shoulder.

"Do you have a death wish?" She asked and he glanced at her and Mikala came from behind and peeked at her.

"Woah, you look scary when you are like that, like if you might actually hurt him," Mikala said and the demon chuckled then Nessa turned to look a Mikala, who smiled a little nervously.

"I am not," She replied.

"Seems like you would have, who knows what kind of dark thoughts people have these days," The demon added and Nessa scoffed.

"Well, you were right about what you just said, about the nation and so on," Zack said.

"Yeah, I heard that, you were right about that, all of it, but those are not all that's needed, there are more important things, aren't there?" Nessa asked and the demon nodded before scoffing.

"I heard as well, some say similar things but you were on the spot," Mikala said and Zack glanced at her then his brows furrowed and she looked away from him a little and he sighed.

That's when Nessa knew, something was indeed wrong, due to their expressions and wondered what it was since it seemed as though it was bothering them but didn't want to pry.

"Excuse me, the king awaits everyone in the throne room, he is going to make an announcement," A servant said as he approached them.

Nessa looked up and saw that the sun was already setting and they all followed the servant inside, to hear what the king was going to say and what decision he had come to, concerning the matter of the throne.
