Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1757: Reigniting the Limitless

Chapter 1757: Reigniting the Limitless

It took only half a moment before the attendants present to locate Pavilion Master Shang Liu amongst the entourage. They were silent initially, but soon they all arose with uncanny synchronicity, and then they clasped their hands respectfully.

"We welcome Pavilion Master Shang's return!" they greeted, causing the room to tremble slightly. These were cultivators with either promising talents or high cultivation bases, and their due respect was rather moving. Shang Liu was a super-senior of theirs in many ways, so none of them triumphed over him in terms of seniority. Moreover, this was his event, and he was the main host.

Pavilion Master Shang raised his hand with a congenial smile, giving a silent thanks, and the crowd noticed a few newcomers beside him. Many of them had sensed the changes outside, including inwardly awkward feelings after listening in on the Arising Sage Elixir, and how Pavilion Master Shang had directly offended Wei Wuyin and lost that opportunity.

However, a few were wary. Wei Wuyin's aura was obscure and difficult to discern, so they couldn't determine if he was a Resonant Soul Realm expert. They didn't dare to flagrantly execute their sensing spells for fear of offending the other party, so they could only rely on their instincts.

Wei Wuyin felt the rapid mental fluctuations of panic from two figures. They were the Sages that were hidden among the crowd, pretending to be a Venerable and a Highlord with starry-eyed auras of youthful innocence. Their concealments were astonishingly executed, concealing even their soul auras.

"I'd like to introduce World-Saint Neo-Dawn as my honored guest. Please, come sit next to me." He moved with purpose and the original individual that sat in the seat of honor had no choice but to rise and find another seat. Then, Wei Wuyin and his entourage sat near each other. The table was a circular multi-platform with four levels, and Wei Wuyin sat at the fourth level while the others sat to his right. He had a perfect venue to look down on everyone present, an utterly domineering sight.

Meanwhile, at the center was a platform etched with mystical runes and had four ceiling-reaching pillars at its edges. This was a presenting platform that could double as an arena. Given the nature of the trifecta event, this would be the main region for the contests and gift-giving, highlighting each person's actions before the crowd.

Eventually, a few figures ceremoniously rose and then offered a toast to Wei Wuyin. They paid their respects. Among them was the concealed Sage with a Venerable cultivation base, and he seemed to be testing whether Wei Wuyin could see through his disguise. When he paid his respects, Wei Wuyin replied with: "What an interesting lad. Your talents could thrust you to become a Sage with the right nurturing and fated opportunities." The response caused the hidden Sage to become abnormally pale.

He was seen through!! Panic flared within him as countless thoughts flashed through his eyes. The others hadn't noticed his reaction, focusing on Wei Wuyin's assessment instead.

His words elicited an uproar as the crowd observed the young man. They knew he was only here because his master was a former student of the Knightly Dao Pavilion and had reached the World Emperor level. Originally, only the three Sages of the Knightly Dao Pavilion were expected to arrive, but Wei Wuyin had skyrocketed that expectation.

While Sage Moonrise was absent, there were now eight Sages. It was an unprecedented event! The Knightly Dao Pavilion would certainly be etched in the annals of history for this achievement, elevating its reputation by severalfold.

The trifecta was supposed to be a birthday celebration, a wedding, and a contest for youths to fight for the hand of Shang Wanqing, a young woman with a Catalyst Body, guarded by the reputation of the Knightly Dao Pavilion. Unlike Xi Ning, Shang Wanqing was fiercely protected by her father, and not even a Sage would dare to take action. Doing so was no different than forcing the Knightly Dao Pavilion to summon forth every last of its connections. It simply wasn't worth it.

However, if Xi Ning had made her status as a Catalyst Body public before being exposed, Pavilion Master Shang would undoubtedly have kept her for himself. There was no question about that.

Soon, the event entered a stage of idle talking. Due to Sage Moonrise's absence, Pavilion Master Shang hadn't begun the first celebration of three: his 200,000th birthday. They waited.

Wei Wuyin wasn't antisocial here either, and he happily engaged in cultivation with the Sages and those below him. A few courageous Alchemists had even sought knowledge by asking questions that had stumped them on the path of the Alchemic Dao. Wei Wuyin didn't shy away from answering, his answers were concise, profound, and easily digestible. The crowd was instantly filled with shifting expressions and enlightened faces.

An older gentleman raised his hand, his cultivation base at the World Emperor level, and he was nearing the end of his lifespan, a clear decline that he would reach the end of an exhausted lifespan long before his soulspan was concluded. This was an often occurrence amongst cultivators.

Due to severe injuries from brutal conflicts, dangerous adventures, refining impure-quality products, or cultivating certain cultivation methods, their vitality was either exhausted, damaged, or tainted. This inevitably caused a disparity in lifespan and soulspan. Many cultivators, for example, Highlords with an average lifespan and soulspan of 30,000 years, would die long before that was reached.

Wei Wuyin smilingly gestured toward the older gentleman, and the man asked: "World-Saint Neo-Dawn, I have refined thousands upon thousands of impure products in my lifetime, sustaining long-term, said to be irreparable damage to my body, and this was the unanimous diagnosis of many Medicinal Sages and Alchemists that I could afford. I ask with all my heart and courage…is my situation… truly so dire?"

Cultivation was difficult.

His question reminded everyone of those three words. Despite the Utmost Purity Galaxy being the galactic forefront of the Alchemic Dao, impure products were still rampantly spread far more often than any other quality. While the standard of acceptable impure was higher, this did little to deal with the overarching issue.

The Knightly Dao Pavilion was an instructing & training-type pavilion for cultivators, and often trained Dao Protectors or Alchemic Knights for Alchemists, with some trained as leaders of their clan or guardsmen who needed to act as pillars to uphold and protect their organization's livelihood.

Wei Wuyin eyed the older gentleman, his starry eyes glinting as the Alchemic Stars of Transcendent Purity reflected his image. It was extremely rare for cultivators to enjoy the treatment that Wei Wuyin offered, with not a single impure-quality product given. The Ascendants were exceedingly high quality because of this, not only was the protection more effective, but they didn't have the slightest impurity in their bodies from products, and those they gained by cultivating the ambient energies of the world were either filtered or expelled by impurity expulsion or refinement type products or formations by spending some time to do so.

The older gentleman would have to cultivate an impurity-expelling art to remedy his issue, yet these arts often exhausted one's vitality or damaged one's body and cultivation base as essential energies were taken out with it. Long term, the effects were certainly worth it. Short term, one's strength would suffer, limiting one's ability to fight for opportunities as they hid in seclusion.

Imentet frowned. The opportunity to ask a potential Exalted World-Saint and Supreme Sage this question was very open with their intentions. The older gentleman was not only brave but calculative, hoping to use this opportunity to remedy his problem while Wei Wuyin elevated his reputation by proving himself better than the Utmost Purity Galaxy's Medicinal Sages and Alchemists. Essentially, he hoped that Wei Wuyin would give him a free product to solve his dire condition.

"Irreparable? Absolutely not," Wei Wuyin spoke, and the Sages and experts present all focused entirely on his words. Who here hadn't refined impure-quality products? "Anyone who would speak in such definite terms lacks a proper understanding of the Dao of Alchemy. Their future would inevitably be limited. And that was essentially this: the Dao of Alchemy is limitless."

This term was an archaic phrase of the Utmost Purity Galaxy, and hearing it caused numerous expressions to undergo drastic changes. The Alchemists who felt that this sentence was certainly an outrageous statement felt as if they were missing something crucial.

"For example, your situation; If worked toward, a tailored-made product can be created to solve your issues." Wei Wuyin had pursued this path before, the Infinite Variation Series, yet it wasn't entirely focused. The Neo-Dawn Dual-Dao Pill was specifically created to solve Wei Wuyin's issue, but the most prominent example of this was none other than the Neo-Dawn Paragon-Forging Pill!

This was by far the greatest display of tailor-made products, genuinely displaying the truth of that sentence: The Dao of Alchemy is limitless!!

The earliest example was none other than the Everlore Ascension Pill which served as an inspiration for Wei Wuyin's brand of alchemy.

"However, even that, before the Dao of Alchemy is unneeded. Come here," Wei Wuyin gestured for the older gentleman. The man rose with a tinge of anxiety in his heart, making his way toward Wei Wuyin from the second level of the table. Wei Wuyin didn't get up. Pakhet, who was dutifully standing behind him, sent a golden needle toward the man. The older gentleman couldn't even react before he was poked and a drop of blood was extracted. A yelp of pain resounded.

The golden needle carried the drop of blood and arrived before Wei Wuyin, hovering only a foot or so away. Those present could see the impurity within the blood was terrifyingly high, and there was a waning vitality of the physical cells, signs of decay and degradation.

"Constraining the Dao of Alchemy will only limit your path forward. This drop of blood tells the story of your lifetime of efforts and cultivation. It, in many ways, is your path. Normally, alchemists would feel the need to rely on the concoction process to concoct. But a true alchemist doesn't need a cauldron to display the myriad powers of Alchemy." Wei Wuyin lifted his palm, summoning globs of seven-colored light that contained several materials of the Mystic-Earth grade.

With a clench of his hand, the drop of blood and the several globs mixed. They were stunned. What was happening?!

Wei Wuyin didn't take long. In fact, it took roughly four minutes to complete. What remained was a pill-like item. "That drop of blood contains the aura of every trace of impurity within you, long since merged with your essence, and difficult to expel." He sent the pill-like item forward, having it hover in front of the older gentleman.

"Take it," Wei Wuyin ordered.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

The older gentleman was initially hesitant. He didn't understand a single thing that had happened, only that there was alchemical light and silhouettes of unidentifiable materials had merged with his blood. However, given his current plight, he decided to risk it.

With trembling hands, he grabbed it. Suddenly, he felt a refreshing feeling as his Mystic Soul released waves of excitement while his Mystic Physique's cells all felt invigorated by the touch. It had a cool-to-the-touch surface and felt like it was a pill but not a pill.

He took the pill with a heavy gulp. The entire crowd was looking at him with a variety of sensory spells while a distinct silence reigned.

"The Dao of Alchemy isn't just limited to the concoction process but embodies the seven properties: Extraction, Growth, Containment, Refinement, Creation, Transformation, and Fusion. You've just consumed what could be considered as an Extraction Pill. It could be likened to the Essence Pill, but bodies the properties of the Alchemic Dao—Extraction." Wei Wuyin swept his gaze across the crowd before continuing: "ANY alchemist worthy of the title should be able to create one. If not, they might as well not be called an alchemist, and only concoction specialists."

"..."

Did the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint just challenge the Dao of Alchemy of the Utmost Purity Galaxy?!

Just as there were a few indignant individuals who were about to fearlessly refute Wei Wuyin's claim, a yell of agony resounded. The older gentleman had a twisted expression as he fell to his knees!

Before anyone could act, a surge of light circulated beneath his skin carrying the unique color of extraction. The light seemed to slither across his insides and the surface of his skin, like trained snakes, and they caused his veins to bulge and his skin to red. Suddenly, from his pores and orifices, tenebrous smoke bellowed out as if in fear.

Pakhet acted; she contained the murky and dark smoke within a sphere of metallic gold that was semi-transparent, allowing those present to observe the various impurities that were sometimes misty, sometimes liquidity, and sometimes resembling crystals or stones.

Was this his impurities?!

Moreover, there wasn't a single sign of extracted vitality.

For another four minutes, the exact amount of time required to create the pill-like item, smoke kept being extracted. When it was all done, the older gentleman was panting heavily as his skin looked younger and his eyes brighter. While his withered vitality wasn't solved, the strength of his remaining vitality was unrestrained.

"The Dao of Alchemy is a path of cultivation, unable to be limited by the four types of products or the process of concoction." Wei Wuyin's words caused tremendous waves to surge through everyone's hearts and souls, especially Alchemic Saint Azure Rain and Alchemic Saint Searing Star! They suddenly felt as if the path they traversed had been rather narrow!

This was no different than expounding the Dao!

Expounding on the Dao of Alchemy!
